The McMullen Creek Greenway

McMullen Creek Greenway

Mecklenburg County has constructed the greenway which runs behind the Terrabrook subdivision.   Our particular portions of the Greenway are McMullen Creek and Lower McAlpine Creek.

The sewer alignment issue that threatened the greenway behind our properties has been resolved in our favor.   The greenway is safe!   Thanks to all who wrote and called to protect the natural beauty and wildlife in our community.

You can reach the greenway via the common area by walking down the drive, going to the right along the playground area, and following the footpath.   It meets a boardwalk connection on the county property that takes you onto the greenway.

Enjoy!

trail According to Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation, greenways are linear parks that connect people and places by linking neighborhoods, parks, offices, schools and shopping areas.   Those most common in our county are walking and biking paths and nature trails.   You can walk, bicycle, jog, skateboard, or rollerblade.   Trails open at 7:00 am and close at sunset.
